Manufactured by Armytrix, an aftermarket brand that is dedicated to bringing the finest exhaust upgrade to fit your Nissan Z, this system adds performance gains and brings out that signature aggressive sound that Armytrix systems are known for. In addition to that, the system is engineered to shed unnecessary weight from Nissan Z’s stock system. The system has race mode (valves opened), and valves closed mode, and you won’t need to change the modes all the time, you can just set your own timing for valves to automatically open and close by engine rpm and how deep you press the gas pedal.

The thing that sets this system apart from competitors is the “Throttle Pedal Sensor and Engine RPM Signal Auto Functions” which gives car owners a better launch-start without losing back pressure by automatically closing the valves at low rpm. When your car is driving at high speeds, the valves will automatically open to increase airflow for better performance (hp & torque gained) and sound. This performance exhaust system delivers more power, especially in the low and mid rev range, while at the same time neutralizing the annoying frequencies in the most critical rpm range. The VR team is back at it again with the 2023 Nissan Z! Earlier this year, we dove head-first into the new RZ34 platform with a Proto spec, Ikazuchi Yellow Z. After tuning, testing wheel fitments, and installing one of the first aftermarket exhausts from Apex’i, we, unfortunately, had a turn of events with that vehicle. We honestly could have abandoned our plans altogether, but the team was truly impressed with the twin-turbo V6 over many other optional platforms.

So here we are!
For our new Nissan Z, we opted for the Performance spec, in Boulder Gray. Yep, drop-dead gorgeous. While we would have LOVED the 6-speed manual, dealer markups crushed those dreams with no remorse. Graphite interior, 9-speed automatic, and Apple CarPlay, the VR team is stoked, to say the least.

I am selling my 2020 Ford Raptor 3.5L Ecoboost with 600 horsepower! I bought this truck out of the midwest with only 2000 miles on it from 1 owner and have had it for the past 2.5 years. This was used as a Vivid Racing Project Vehicle to showcase products. This truck was not beaten up and off-roaded. It hauled kids, and dirt bikes, and commuted here in Arizona. Oil has been changed every 5000 miles. The full front end and hood have a clear bra. No dents, dings, or accidents.

The best part is I am including ALL of the stock parts. Stock wheels/tires, turbos, fenders, brakes, intercooler, intake, and whatever else I have for the right price.

This truck is much faster than a tuned Raptor. 600HP at the crank! However, it only gives you that when you drive it like you want it. Regular driving around is very comfortable and easy. Everything is done safe, reliable, and top-tier.

ARMYTRIX Ceramic Coated High-Flow Performance Race Downpipes McLaren 12C | 570 | 600LT | 650S 2012-2019

Also featured in the Mclaren 570S seen in the video above are ARMYTRIX high-flow race downpipes which are currently available in our shop for $3,580. The race downpipes are bolt-on which means easy installation, and their design improves the exhaust flow from the turbochargers which adds a significant gain in torque, horsepower and improved sound throughout the entire rpm range. BMC Air Filter Cylindrical McLaren 3.8L V8 2013-2021

The Mclaren 570S seen in the video had one more upgrade, an air filter. Manufactured by BMC Air Filters, an Italian company that has been developing filters since 1996, this air filter is available in our shop for just $273.90. By upgrading to this filter, you are guaranteed a higher air passage, and a better filter quality as this filter is made of highly performing materials that allow an increased air flow combined with more efficient filtration. The design of this air filter guarantees containment of all impurities from as small as 7 microns (compared to OEM’s 10 microns). The 2023 Ferrari Roma is a well-rounded coupe with a powerful 3.9-liter V-8 turbocharged engine that produces 612 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. We got unreal results tuning the Nissan Z.

Our newly developed VR Tuned Tuning Box for the 2023 Nissan Z was put to the test with amazing results here at our Arizona facility. Our Mustang All-Wheel-Drive dyno accurately replicated a real road surface, creating an environment that enabled us to get maximum performance out of our tuning box. On a cool 65F day, we filled up the car with 91 octane and adjusted the tuning box accordingly. The results were nothing short of astonishing – 396 rear wheel horsepower and 488 ft/lbs of torque! This was while running stock exhausts and intakes – no aftermarket modifications necessary. At 4100rpm, we saw a massive boost in power output of 100 horsepower and 120 ft/lbs of torque, making this a true plug-and-play solution for anyone looking to get more power out of their Nissan Z. All in all, our VR Tuned Tuning Box proved its worth as an incredibly potent upgrade option for the 2023 Nissan Z.

As we continue our project series on the newly developed 2023 Nissan Z, we are thrilled to see the results of our VR Tuned Tuning Box. With an impressive 65 BHP and 85 ft/lbs of torque gain, we are only scratching the surface of what this vehicle has to offer. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is the cream of the crop full production car from Lamborghini. With only the expected Veneno, Sian FKP 37, and Centenario being able to trump it’s top speeds of 217MPH / 350 km/h and it’s 0-60MPH clocking in at quick, 2.8 seconds; this Lamborghini is insanely fast. Spawned in 2019 with merely 1700 units in production between the Roadster and Coupe, this supercar is the definition of a sought-after and boutique. If seen in person, it is sure to be unique as Lamborghini offers hyper-dynamic customization with their Ad Personam Program. With that being said, it wouldn’t be proper to equip the Raging Bull with anything not as of similar worthiness. A piece of art that holds an equal value is the fabrications that come from, Brilliant Exhausts. To us at Vivid Racing, this is not only a bucket list project but a match made in supercar heaven.

Not familiar with Brilliant Exhausts? You wouldn’t be the only one. Grab a cold one, and we’ll get you caught up to speed. Brilliant is a Japanese Exhaust manufacturer specializing in high-quality exhaust systems for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, and Porsche. Legendary sound engineer, Sasaki-san of Technical Garage, is known for his work with Yoshimura, Japan creating hand-bent and seamlessly welded exhaust systems for high-performance motorcycles. Sasaki-san and his team’s attention to detail when designing and creating exhaust systems is the secret behind their signature balanced sound. Initially designing systems for Mercedes-Benz, which did not have much aftermarket support at the time, Brilliant has grown from creating one of the best sounding exhausts for machines like the S600 to a multi-platform legend. Now that we have you caught up on Brilliant exhausts, we hope this lays some serious excitement for the video we include in this article. Typically when referring to exhaust upgrades, there is a focus on horsepower gains that can be achieved by installing an aftermarket exhaust. In this case, I wouldn’t deem it irrelevant, but this is genuinely concentrated on enhancing the quality of sound that is being produced from the exhaust. Most enthusiasts entertained by Brilliant are also admirers of the art that the exhaust fabrication upholds. At first sight, the welds are astonishingly precise, tight, and minimal. The balance and symmetry of the system is just as you would imagine. Our tech referred to installing this exhaust as “a dream” with how perfectly everything seemed to line up and fit the SVJ. This is not the case with many high-end exhaust systems. The Race Pipes, Valved Muffler Section, and Remote are all sold together in this package. The exhaust tips are sold separately here.

After piecing this Aventador back to life, we were excited to hear the Brilliant live up to it’s high expectations and the hefty price tag of $10.5K USD. The first cold start was a relief and a stimulating one with how intense the exhaust sounded. When revving the SVJ north of 7K, it shook the walls throughout our Vivid Racing Headquarters. Not just producing an aggressive F1 car sound but a shockwave that could be felt for hundreds of feet. This is precisely what we expected from the naturally-aspirated V12 paired with the Brilliant. Be sure to check out our video above for some audio context. After installing the exhaust with no negative feedback from the ECU, it was time to flash the SVJ with our tune from VR Tuned. This past week we had the honors of tuning the XTC Motorsports Ford Bronco. Many may wonder, what makes this Bronco so unique? That can be a tricky question to answer. There are so many rad Bronco builds out on the road and trails these days that it is hard to build one that stands out from the rest. Well, let me tell you, this one does that PERFECTLY. The guys over at XTC Motorsports built a stylish, highly functional, Hot Pepper Red 2022 Ford Bronco that features some of our favorite parts. This might be the closet you can get to building a Bronco Raptor, without it being a Bronco Raptor. They’ve really put all they had into the build, making it a true offroad beast both on the dirt, and on the road. We can dive into the details later, but we want to talk about how our VR Tuned ECU Flash was the ultimate upgrade for this little 2.7L V6 Ecoboost engine. How much power do you think we were able to squeeze out of it?

The Ford Bronco comes standard in two configurations. One is a Turbocharged 2.3L Inline-4 that produces about 270HP and 310 lbs-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic trans. This option is perfect for people that are more gas mileage conscious. Then there is this, the 2.7L V6 that cranks out 310 HP and 400 lbs-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This option was made for the offroad enthusiast that’s mostly focused on its offroad capabilities. That isn’t too shabby for a stock Bronco, but we believe we can really transform this into a new monster. Once you factor in some aftermarket bumpers, lights, 37″ AT tires, and a Yeti cooler full of weekend refreshments; the metrics start to quickly change and that V6 can get to feel a bit sluggish. This is about the time when we cue the intro music and VR Tuned heads down the ramp at Wrestlemania to claim the victor title from the lame stock ECU.

The VR Tuned Tuning Box is an extremely easy modification to accomplish, even for most who aren’t mechanically inclined. It is as simple as connecting to some wires that are currently connected to the stock ECU, safely aligning the new ones with some pre-existing ones in the engine bay, and mounting your VR Tuned ECU module next to the firewall. The whole process from start to finish could take as little as 10 minutes. This is all well shown in the video above if this seems like it could be a challenge. Our VR Tuned V2 Tuning Box is loaded with some awesome features that truly provides the driver with an excellent tuning experience.

One of the most convenient features is its Bluetooth capabilities. This supplies the driver the option of 7 different tune maps and also the ability to set a warm-up timer straight from their phone. The seven different tune maps are based on a scale of 7 being the most extreme and one being the closest to stock. These levels really let you customize your driving experience, allowing for a more chill, slow ride and a more performance-based drive mode. The warm-up timer is an excellent feature that lets the driver set a standard engine warm-up time that disengages the tuning maps until the engine is fully warmed up. This will engage every time the car is started to ensure the engine is ready for higher performance than stock. Doing this will save the engine from future possible damage due to an increase in boost pressure before the engine hits its most efficient running temperature. Did we mention that our tuning box also doesn’t void warranties as it doesn’t write to the ECU? Removal of the tuning box leaves no trace of it ever being installed.

All these new features are cool, but what are we looking at power-wise? We ran the Bronco on its stock ECU maps and got 310 BHP along with 400 ft/lbs of torque. These figures aren’t necessarily bad, they’re just not up to the VR Tuned standard. After installing the tuning box, we ran the bronco again with similar environmental conditions. This time, we ran a BHP of 364, and 500 ft/lbs of torque! That’s a gain of 54 horsepower and 100 ft/lbs of torque! Not bad at all for just a little tuning box! In conclusion, the VR Tuned Tuning Box is a great upgrade for anyone looking for a little more customizable power output on their bronco. For the price, you really can’t beat the bang for your buck value this ECU Flash provides.

We recently introduced you to one of our latest project cars: a 2018 McLaren 720S. The British supercar packs a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 (M840T) engine under its hood that produces 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Furthermore, the exotic two-seater is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. And while the McLaren 720S is a beauty and a beast all in one straight from the factory, there is certainly some room for upgrades. Earlier this month, we gave you an up-close look at our new 2021 Nardo Grey Audi RS6 Avant. The first video included Vivid Racing getting delivery of the vehicle and giving viewers a taste of what’s to come. Well, the time has come to show you exactly what we did, thus far, to this German beauty. After all, our goal was to make this the “Ultimate Street Wagon” and we are not stopping yet! We treated the RS6 to an Akrapovic full titanium exhaust system, a VR Tuned ECU flash, and a set of VR Forged D12-R wheels. The result? We turned the 2021 Audi RS6 Avant into a monstrous 700+ horsepower street wagon! But let’s talk about how we got there and what these products did for the high-powered luxury station wagon.

The Audi RS6 Avant is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, which generates 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque straight from the factory! While these power figures are certainly impressive, Vivid Racing took it upon ourselves to turn things up a notch and see just how much more power we could squeeze out of that engine. We opted for the world-renowned Akrapovic full titanium exhaust to also give the powerful Bi-Turbo V8 the best sound possible.

We then installed a set of custom VR Forged D12-R monoblock wheels to go along with its elegant look, giving the RS6 Avant the perfect stance while maintaining that aggressive wagon aesthetic. Afterward, we hooked up the car to the dyno, where we installed our VR Tuned ECU Flash and picked up an incredible amount of power. Finally, we took the “finished product” out and put the pedal to the metal – where it proves itself to be the ultimate street wagon, indeed.

Akrapovic exhausts are widely recognized for supplying a soundtrack that has been acoustically tuned to perfection at every rev point for a particular vehicle. This system is manufactured using high-grade lightweight materials and features a specially designed layout with one central and two side mufflers, and a collector made from titanium ­­­– all leading from stainless steel link pipes with a larger diameter. A valve on each side muffler controls the flow of gases and aids the remarkable sound produced by the system. You’ll enjoy a tantalizing exhaust tone both when the valves are open and when they are closed, with the latter being just slightly milder for a more comfortable drive. The Akrapovic full titanium exhaust system ends with gorgeous carbon tips that add styling points to the rear of the RS6 Avant.

We also treated the Audi wagon to the VR Tuned ECU Flash to take it from 571 horsepower at the crank to even more! That’s because we want to push out as much new power from the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as possible, especially after the Akrapovic exhaust mod. The Audi RS6 C8 4.0 TFSI ECU flash from VR Tuned will not only deliver gains in horsepower and torque, but also vastly improve overall driving characteristics by offering improved throttle response and better drivability. With this tune, the RS6 went from 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque stock to a whopping 710 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque.

Apart from merely upping the power on this wagon, we put the 2021 Audi RS6 Avant on a set of VR Forged D12-R wheels to complete the look. The lustrous gloss black finish perfectly contrasts the sleek Nardo Grey exterior paint color and makes the bright red calipers stand out even more. The D12-R is a full one-piece forged monoblock wheel manufactured using a 10,000-ton press. The result is an incredibly lightweight and strong wheel that checks all of the boxes and is well-suited to performance luxury/sports cars. The design of this wheel is a play on the original VR Forged D12 wheel with the Euro-inspired ring around the outer edge. The look of this wheel is very nostalgic to the early 2000’s Audi touring cars and looks right at home on our project Audi RS6 Avant.

When the car community heard that Audi would be bringing its new RS6 Avant to America for the 2021 model year, enthusiasts were understandably beside themselves with excitement. That’s because the States seem to have an abundance of everything, but certainly lacks when it comes to some serious station wagons. The RS6 was definitely worth the wait, with its high-performance capabilities, incredible twin-turbo V8 soundtrack, and macho appearance. The Audi RS6 Avant brings with it a fusion of sportiness and utility to America, and Vivid Racing just had to get its hands on one. In the video down below, we take delivery of Audi’s station wagon, giving viewers a look around, and a sneak peek into the mods that the VR team will treat this bad boy to in the very near future.

With that, Vivid Racing is pleased to introduce its latest project car: a Nardo Grey 2021 Audi RS6 Avant. While the Taycan was fun to drive, nothing beats the sound and feel of the Bi-Turbo engine in AWD with nearly 600 horses stock. Big thanks and shoutout to Kearns Automotive in Wisconsin for making this happen and delivering it in such a timely fashion! Just from hearing the RS6 start up in the trailer, we knew this was going to be a great project. The car looks, sounds, and handles incredibly well straight from the factory, but Vivid Racing is determined to do its thing and turn this RS6 Avant into the “Ultimate Station Wagon.” 

Just take a look at the beauty that is the RS6 Avant. Some noteworthy features include the massive ceramic brakes, 22-inch wheels, and the carbon package, which consists of carbon accents throughout. The interior doesn’t disappoint either with stunning red stitching on the seats, carbon fiber trim, and the RS steering room with full Alcantara, A/C seats, privacy screens on the windows, and the spacious Wagon hatch. And, with just one glance at the underhood compartment, it’s evident that this beauty is going to be fun to mod. The ECU (“key to more power”) sits right there on top, making it super easy to access, send it in, and re-install with about a hundred more horsepower. Other mods to gain more power for the RS6 Avant include a full exhaust system, cold air intakes, and upgraded intercoolers. It doesn’t stop there, though, as the aftermarket has plenty of suspension mods to improve the handling and give it that lowered look.

So how do you define what a supercar is? We have heard people call everything from their Mercedes AMG GT to their Porsche 911 supercars. But in reality, that nameplate only belongs to a handful of vehicles. One of these vehicles is the McLaren 720S. But before we get into why we got the McLaren 720s, lets talk about our Project Car history.

As you know, we have been fortunate enough to own a handful of awesome vehicles here at Vivid Racing. As Porsche enthusiasts, we did stray away from the German brand when we built our 2012 McLaren 12C in 2015. Equipped with a full Vorsteiner aero kit, Armytrix Exhaust, VR Tuned ecu flash, and awesome Niche 3pc wheels, this was probably one of the best looking McLaren 12C out there. After a year of ownership and thousands of miles of road rallying, this car left our hands. Then we started the car that McLaren built to take on the Porsche 911 Turbo, the 2016 McLaren 570S.

A complete revision to the McLaren family, the 570s featured the same 3.8L twin turbo but with a redesigned interior and more futuristic body. This car was an incredible project for us at Vivid Racing. The 570 featured Armytrix downpipes, a in-house designed carbon fiber GT4 style wing, lowering springs, VR Tuned ecu flash, and Vorsteiner wheels. Still getting those awesome looks as a McLaren, the 570s handled more like a Porsche with its rear wheel drive and conventional sway bar suspension as opposed to the 12C hydraulic system.

So what does all that mean? Nothing except the McLaren 720S was definitely on the radar for a Vivid Racing Project Vehicle. Lucky for us we picked up this car before the insane prices we see at the time of writing this blog. For about $240,000, we scored ourselves what was the flagship vehicle for McLaren. This 2018 model had an original MSRP of nearly $400,000, which buying a 720S used is a true bargain for what you get at that price point. The 720s features the M840T engine which is a 4.0L twin turbo engine making 710HP stock! With its wing style doors, full carbon fiber monocoque construction, active aero and and a blend of race inspired elements on the interior, this is a true supercar!

So now that we have our McLaren 720S, its time to get to work on our mods. You might say, “how the F@&k do you mod a McLaren?” Well my friends, it is very possible. Everything from ECU Tuning, Big Turbos, Aero Parts, Wheels, Exhausts, and more is available in the McLaren tuning world. Many of you have been following the journey of our 2020 Ford Raptor project and have been up to date with all of the mods we have done to it. If not, let’s catch you up to speed (pun intended). We recently pushed the Ford Raptor to 500+ horsepower by way of an intercooler upgrade and bigger turbos from Garrett. And with great speed comes great responsibility and the need for even greater braking power! With that, we teamed up with Baer Brakes right here in Arizona to provide us with top-tier brakes that will allow you to come to a full stop from 60 mph at a pretty impressive time. Not only that, though, but these brakes also look incredible on the truck while at a standstill and in motion too! 

In the video below, we give you a close-up look at the Baer Brakes 15-Inch Front Extreme+ Braking System for the 2020 Ford Raptor. We also conduct some tests to compare the stock versus upgraded braking when stopping from 60 mph. Baer Brakes Brake System 15-Inch Front Extreme+ Kit (Red)

This front system features the 6S 6-piston monoblock caliper mounted onto a 15-inch 2-piece slotted, drilled, and zinc-plated rotor. Baer brake systems include stainless-steel brake hoses, calipers that have D.O.T. compliant dust and weather seals, as well as the popular D1247 brake pad. Quality bearings are used together with NAS high-grade stainless hardware for the pre-assembled 2-piece rotor. The 6S caliper is deemed a Baer flagship offering and is built out of a single piece of US-sourced 2618 forged aluminum for the ultimate in strength, longevity, and performance. The 15-inch Extreme+ Front Brake Kit is designed to fit most 19-inch or larger wheels and includes all of the necessary mounting brackets for a straightforward installation.

By now, chances are that you have already come across a couple of our 2020 Ford Raptor project videos. We just keep upping the ante on this bad boy to take things to the ultimate level. And now, this project truck was treated to an intercooler upgrade and a set of bigger turbos to really unleash the true power potential of this well-regarded pickup. Check out the video below to see our baseline dyno runs to see how much power the Raptor’s got stock – the only mods thus far have been a muffler system, VR Tuned ECU flash, with VR Forged wheels and 37-inch tires. Then, watch as we show off the goodies, install them, and throw it on the dyno again to see the results. Sit back and revel in the journey as the reality of 700 horsepower comes true for the Ford Raptor project. 

Garrett is home to probably some of the fastest vehicles in the world and it’s not hard to see why we chose this company to work with for our project Raptor. The Garrett front-mount intercooler can support up to 750 horsepower, all while using the stock bolts, hoses, and clamps. It’s a direct-fit for the Ford F-150 and Raptor, making installation a pleasant experience. The Garrett charge air cooler boasts an 83 percent larger core than Ford’s stock one to provide approximately a 25-degree Fahrenheit reduction in air temperature as well as a 30 percent reduction in pressure drop. It’s equipped with optimized end tanks that greatly improve airflow through the core by way of enhanced turbulent design features found in the stock unit. 

We also gave the Ford Raptor project a set of bigger turbos from Garrett. The Garrett PowerMax Stage 2 turbocharger upgrade for the Ford F-150 Raptor platform is expertly engineered to heighten its engine performance capability while maintaining a simple OEM-like install. This direct drop-in upgrade provides 54 percent more flow than from the factory and will support up to 700+ BHP. Turbine flow is also increased by 52 percent with a 50mm Iconel turbine wheel and larger turbine housing. The turbocharger kit is complete and comes fully assembled, calibrated, and interchangeable with the OE hardware to guarantee a seamless and perfect fit.

In the video below, we show off the new 2022 Toyota Supra, which is gorgeous but still has that pesky wheel gap that drives so many enthusiasts up a wall. Fret not, though, as we took this project to the next level with a high-quality lowering kit to enhance its look, drivability, and handling. Another exciting project is underway! Vivid Racing has just purchased a bespoke Porsche 992 GT3 to build into a complete powerhouse. The new 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 is the German marque’s twelfth iteration of its track-ready sports car, including the RS variants, and the most advanced one to date. The technology behind this vehicle is out of this world with individual throttle bodies that achieve an incredible response time and a 9000 RPM redline. In an era where automakers are downsizing and turbocharging, the GT3’s powertrain is arguably better than its predecessors. Powered by a 4.0-liter, flat-six engine, this bad boy delivers 502 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque. But, we here at Vivid Racing wanted to take that to the next level, as we do with all of our builds. By now, many of you must know that Dan from Vivid Racing absolutely loves Porsches. So when the new 992 GT3 was unveiled, he knew that he had to get his hands on the newest car. As the previous owner of a 997.2 manual GT3 RS and the current owner of a 2016 991.1 GT3 RS, he definitely knows a thing or two about these cars. So as soon as the car came out, Dan wanted to pick and design his own model since he has built and completely configured the other two GT3 RS models. Wanting to stand out right off the bat, he chose the head-turning Python Green exterior color. And, even though we were going to put VR Forged wheels on the bad boy, Dan opted for the neodyme wheels for the way it complements that loud green paint. 

The video above shows the teaser shots of the Porsche 992 GT3 at the dealer along with the reactions and first drive from Dan. While this is one of those cars you really don’t need to mod or “mess with”, Vivid Racing will do its thing and give it a little extra spark. Initial plans for the car include a clear bra (first and foremost) along with a fresh set of custom VR Forged wheels and a titanium exhaust system. Right from the factory, the all-new Ford Bronco Sport is a remarkable machine that is capable of satisfying all your off-roading needs. You may remember we introduced our 2021 project Bronco Sport Badlands Edition a little while ago and treated it to a VR carbon fiber custom steering wheel and a VR Tuned ECU flash tune. Now, we took the Bronco Sport to the extreme with additional mods and goodies that have turned it into the ultimate overland rig. Starting off, we installed a Vivid Racing custom front bumper bar which bolts into the subframe and features some very cool components from Ironman 4×4. At the front, the Bronco was set up with cool fender flares, a super bright light bar, and some light pods courtesy of Daystar. The Bronco also received a 1.5-inch lift which sits beautifully with our 17-inch VR Forged one-piece wheels wrapped in beefy 255/70/17 Toyo tires.

Moving on to performance mods, our project Bronco Sport definitely has some juice under the hood with our VR Tuned ECU flash. This rig even has a blow-off valve and VR’s own custom exhaust system which you will hear in the video below. For those wondering what the massive thing on the roof is, we have installed the Ironman 4×4 tent so that we can fold it out and sleep virtually anywhere we want. This two-person tent boasts the ultimate blend of comfort and accessibility when Overlanding, traveling, or camping. It provides ultra-plush sleeping quarters that move you off the ground and protect you from the elements even while staying in the harshest terrain. And when we are merely hanging out in the desert, we can open up the Ironman 4×4 awning so we can truly relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery out of the sun’s rays. We have also attached Daystar cam cans with a custom Vivid Racing bracket, which fits to the factory roof rails.

Our 2020 project Ford Raptor was treated to a new pair of eyes and we have to admit, it looks incredible! We installed one of the coolest headlight setups you will ever see and the end result did not disappoint. In the video below, we first show you an up-close look at the stock Raptor headlights, which are quite distinctive on their own. This is one of the most recognizable headlight setups from Ford and so many aftermarket companies try to copy the look. With low and high beams as well as running lights, the factory assembly gives off a decent light output for street driving. So, while the OEM headlights look great and have good optics, we need a larger field of vision for off-roading. This is where the new Morimoto XB LED headlights come in for the 2015-2020 Ford F-150 Raptor.

The Morimoto front headlight assembly features four projectors with the DRLs in a stunning black housing that suits the naturally menacing look of the Raptor truck. The second-generation Morimoto XB LED headlights not only look amazing but are also well-built, have a virtually infinite lifespan, outperform the competition, and are backed by an unbeatable warranty. These factors easily make this package the best LED headlight kit on the market today for the Ford F-150. In addition to the new front lights, we installed Morimoto hood grille lights, fender lights (front and rear), and reverse lights to tie everything together.

The original Morimoto F-150 XB headlights used two projectors on top for the low beam, and two on the bottom as a dedicated high beam. The new setup utilizes all four projectors for the low beam and has a dual Bi-LED setup for the high beam. The result is 200 percent more light output and a better distribution of light for increased visibility in the distance and off to the sides of the road. If the optics weren’t impressive enough, a cool startup sequence has been added too. When the Daytime Running Lights go on, the projectors illuminate in a two-stage sequence before turning back off. Morimoto’s LED DRLs are powered by Osram 5000K LEDs and are insanely bright, making them easily visible. A separate optic that is dedicated to the turn signal function uses amber LEDs to produce a full sequential turn signal. 

These headlights feature a UV-coated polycarbonate lens that will stand the test of time, ensuring your truck’s lights will look good as new for many years to come. The PPS plastic housing is super lightweight and much stronger than the competition. What’s more, the die-cast aluminum heat-sinks inside the housings provide more than an adequate amount of cooling for the OEM-grade Osram LED chips that produce the light. These use the same external housing and lens from the gen-one version, which have held up like OEM after a few years on the market. Lastly, the Morimoto F-150 LED headlights are designed to be a plug-and-play installation so they will work on your truck without any modifications.

A little carbon fiber can go a long way and that’s exactly what goes on in our latest video. Over the years, you have watched as we’ve modified and transformed a number of sports cars and supercars – many of them featuring carbon fiber from the inside out. For our new project truck, the 2020 Ford Raptor, we decided to continue on with the tradition and give it some carbon fiber goodies to add some spice to the exterior and help set it apart from others on the road.

We are using the Anderson Composites full carbon fiber package, which includes the fender flares, fender ducts, and the hood vent piece. While AC does sell the full fender replacements, we were going for a simpler look and so we opted for just the flare component. By replacing the boring grey plastic stock counterparts, we gave the 2020 Ford Raptor a more aggressive and sporty appeal that exudes a lustrous finish and perfectly contrasts the bold red exterior paint.

The Porsche Taycan is the German marque’s first-ever all-electric vehicle. The result is an emotionally charged, four-door sports car that carries the unmistakable Porsche design language. In the video below, we install one of our favorite products (the Magnuson Supercharger) on a 2019 Toyota Tundra. As you may recall, Dan had it on his very own 2017 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. This supercharger kit makes a “night and day” difference on the pickup to really give it that added oomph that it’s lacking. With 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque at the crank stock, Magnuson claims that the Tundra can reach 550 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque with its supercharger.

We did not run baseline runs since we have already done so many of these in the past. For that reason, we merely ran a test after installing the Magnuson supercharger to see just how true the numbers are. Keep in mind, though, that we dynoed this 2019 Toyota Tundra in the scorching Arizona heat. That being said, the hot atmosphere definitely didn’t stop this supercharged Tundra from pumping out impressive power gains over the stock setup. Watch how much of a difference the Magnuson kit makes compared to the factory Tundra setup below! 

The highly efficient Magnuson Supercharger for the 2019 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8 produces more than 543 horsepower and 535 pound-feet of serious torque at the crank. That’s enough power gains to completely transform your mundane commute as well as weekend adventures. At the heart of this system is Eaton’s latest Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger unit, the TVS1900. The supercharger system is a positive displacement, roots-style pump that uses Eaton’s lightweight, four-lobe OEM-proven rotors. The complete package is quiet, compact, attractive, easy to install, and requires little to no additional maintenance. Moreover, it offers a factory-like fitment and finish that will improve the overall appearance of your Tundra’s engine bay.

Magnuson’s positive displacement supercharger delivers power instantly as soon as the throttle is pushed. Boost pressure builds with no perceived lag that is commonly associated with other types of forced induction. Therefore, it also provides a noticeable increase in torque across the entire powerband. With this system, your Tundra’s throttle control is linear and predictable, making for a more exciting driving experience no matter where you go. Plus, since this supercharger does not compress air as it moves through the rotors, it’s extremely efficient during light throttle and cruising conditions. Unlike screw-type positive displacement superchargers that are constantly compressing, the Magnuson TVS unit can internally bypass unwanted air, resulting in far greater fuel economy.

With the Tubi Style exhaust, this Porsche GT3 RS achieved huge power gains of 30-40 horsepower and pound-feet of torque.  Last, but not least, we give this bad boy a test drive to really get a feel for the Tubi Style exhaust.

In the spring, we introduced you to our Project Raptor – a 2020 model in the beautiful factory Race Red paint. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is a true powerhouse that is sure to exhilarate and awaken all of your senses. It is the result of combining an ultra-lightweight sports car with a 3.8-liter flat-six twin-turbocharged engine that cranks out a whopping 700 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. All of that power is sent to the rear wheels via an efficient seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that lets this beauty rocket from 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph. We here at Vivid Racing, though, like to take things up a notch and treated the Porsche GT2 RS to a new Frequency Intelligent performance exhaust system and a VR Tuned ECU Flash to see just how much power we could crank from this German masterpiece. There’s no doubt about it that this Porsche GT2 RS, fully equipped with the Weissach package, is a stunner from the inside out and especially under the hood. However, paired with the performance exhaust from FI and the VR tune, it’s safe to say that this build is out of this world. Frequency Intelligent’s Valvetronic system technology delivers cutting-edge “intelligent” ECU exhaust control valve, with an emphasis on the optimization of both sound and performance. It is a testament to the brand’s philosophy of the ultimate union of comfort and performance experience for drivers and passengers alike. When the valves are fully open for maximum flow and power, it creates an exotic tone and allows for the most performance. With them closed, volume is reduced for a more low-profile, relaxed drive.

The baseline dyno showed that this Porsche 911 GT2 RS had an output of around 622 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque. After installing the mods, we discovered that this Porsche gained 100 wheel horsepower (from 700hp to 800hp) and between 100 and 120 pound-feet of torque. The numbers are fantastic, but we had to take it out on the road to really see and feel what those figures truly mean. The pops and bangs certainly did not disappoint as this GT2 RS build proved to be an even greater powerhouse than we had imagined. The launches had us thrown back in our seats, the soundtrack was intoxicating, and it certainly got the attention of the others on the road. Is this the holy grail of Porsche?!
